The software offered here works without problems on the operating systems Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and Windows Server 2000/2003/2008/2010/2011, unless otherwise noted. Please see the notes on the download page!
Microsoft has ceased to support Windows NT 4.0 (June 2004) and Windows 98 (October 2003, Windows 95 even longer ago).
The company Microsoft has ceased to support Windows 2000 in July 2010.
This means that Microsoft does not develop these operating systems any further. Also, no bugs in the operating systems are fixed which might occur while running more modern applications. I only have very limited possibilities to correct problems with my programs that occur when used with these legacy Windows versions.

- For Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP: Intel Pentium with at least 600 MHz
- Graphics adapter with at least 800 x 600 pixels resolution at 65536 colors (16 bit)
Memory
- For Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows ME and Microsoft™ 2000: at least 64 MB
For Microsoft Windows XP: at least 128 MB
- At least 5 MB free hard disk space

- Microsoft Internet Explorer®, Version 5.01 (SP1) or higher
- MFC42.DLL Version 6.x
My programs make use of some Microsoft system libraries (e.g. MFC42.DLL) and have certain minimum version requirements. These DLL-files have been shipped with my programs until recently. This changed with newer versions of the programs because these files are already pre-installed on most computers.

Freeware Version
The standard version of Z-DBackup is freeware for personal use, i.e. it can be used by private persons free of charge.
The freeware version is limited to a trial period of 14 days on a Windows Server operating system! A Z-DBackup server license is needed for use on a Windows Server!
Z-DBackup can manage 99 backup sets of any size in the professional version, i.e. there is no limit concerning the number or size of files for a backup. Use the 256 bit AES encryption of the professional version to protect your confidential data!
